Wrenmoor Home care

About us

A Chester care team, started by a nurse

Helen Marsh started Wrenmoor in 2012 with four carers and a rule: no visit too short to sit down. 14 years later there are 64 of us, and the rule has not changed.

What we hold ourselves to

Some of the people you will speak to

Our office is in Chester. When you ring, it will usually be one of these three who answers.

  • Helen Marsh

    Founder and registered manager

A district nurse for twenty years before starting Wrenmoor. Still does the first home visit for many new families.

  • Claire Bennett

    Senior carer, dementia lead

Trains every new carer in dementia care, and has visited some of the same families for nine years.

  • Dev Okafor

    Care coordinator

Plans the rotas, so the same carers reach the same houses at the same times. Answers most of the calls.

Wrenmoor Home Care is registered with the [care regulator], registration [registration number], and is currently rated [rating].

Thinking of becoming a carer?

We are always looking for kind, steady people who live in or near Chester. Experience helps, but the right person matters more: we train you fully before your first visit.

  • From £13.40 an hour, with travel time paid at the same rate
  • Guaranteed hours, and rotas planned four weeks ahead
  • Five days of paid training before you start, and a mentor for your first month
  • Mileage at 45p a mile, and a pool car for carers who do not drive

Come and meet us, or we will come to you

The first home visit is free and comes with no pressure. If you would rather start with a chat, ring the office and ask for Helen.
